The 400th Bridge Inspection Unit was manufactured
On July 24th 2008, the 400th MOOG Bridge Inspection unit built since the company’s establishment in 1980 left our premises in Deggenhausertal, Germany. Another milestone was reached, we are proud to have manufactured 400 units in 28 years. It was with great pleasure that we delivered this unit to one of our main customers WEMO-tec in Eichenzell, Germany. WEMO-tec formerly Maltech belongs to one of our circle of customers who have been loyal to MOOG since 1982. The 52 ft. 6 in. Platform Unit will increase the operational range of WEMO-tec‘s equipment line and will be rented out to customers all over Europe. The unit is equipped with various features; there is an expendable sidewalk and sound barrier crossover, several scaffolds, a hydraulic personnel lift, platform extension and radio remote control.
