MOOG MBI 70 as trailer version for Lorenz Lift from Vorarlberg
Since September 2010 Lorenz Lift (www.lorenzlift.at) owns a MBI 70 bridge underbody device from MOOG. Since this machine was the cornerstone of Lorenz’s rental of bridge sidelights, the unit was designed to be both flexible and low in investment. For this reason, an MBI 70 was chosen as a trailer version. The towing vehicle was already in the fleet of the company existing and various additional equipment allows the device correspondingly versatile use. Thus, e.g. an extension platform extends the horizontal reach to 8 m, a scaffold allows even hard-to-reach components to be reached, and a steel ring under the revolving frame allows for a reach height of more than 2 m. With a payload of 400 kg, even smaller repairs can be carried out from this machine. Like all MOOG machines, this machine can also be hydraulically moved and steered during use. A special build-up function allows threading the platforms between overhead lines of the train.
