Shipment of MBI 200-1.5/S to Taiwan
MOOG once again prevailed against its competitors in an open tender procedure and awarded the contract for a large under-bridge access unit for Taiwan. Based on the specified requirements, the platform unit MBI 200-1.5/S was manufactured and mounted on a SCANIA chassis. Carefully selected and customized additional equipment allows for flexible operation across various construction sites of the end customer, the « Directorate General of Highways » in Taiwan. The additional equipment includes, among others, a platform extension, scaffolding for the main and telescopic platforms, a 30m pier inspection device, as well as an installed camera system and LED night lighting for safe and comfortable operation.
The under-bridge access unit, like all our machines destined for overseas, was booked on a RoRo vessel, which departed from Bremerhaven towards Taiwan in mid-February. We hope for a safe arrival at the destination port and successful training at the customer’s site.
