MOOG once again prevailed against its competitors in an open tender procedure and awarded the contract for a large under-bridge access unit for Taiwan. Based on the specified requirements, the platform unit MBI 200-1.5\/S was manufactured and mounted on a SCANIA chassis. Carefully selected and customized additional equipment allows for flexible operation across various construction sites of the end customer, the “Directorate General of Highways” in Taiwan. The additional equipment includes, among others, a platform extension, scaffolding for the main and telescopic platforms, a 30m pier inspection device, as well as an installed camera system and LED night lighting for safe and comfortable operation.<\/p>\n
The under-bridge access unit, like all our machines destined for overseas, was booked on a RoRo vessel, which departed from Bremerhaven towards Taiwan in mid-February. We hope for a safe arrival at the destination port and successful training at the customer\u2019s site.<\/p>\n
