An under-bridge unit model MBI 110-1,2\/S with some special features was shipped to South Korea in February 2016.<\/p>\n
The platform unit was mounted on a MAN chassis and has a horizontal working range of 36 ft. 1 in. under the bridge, which can be extended by a platform extension giving it up to 42 ft. 8 in. of working range. For better access to the box girders a scaffold with a 5 ft. 7 in. of standing height was also delivered.<\/p>\n
The machine was also equipped with a telescopic rotation frame which enables a wider sidewalk clearance of up to 10 ft. 10 in. The special feature: Per the customer’s request the steel ring which enables a wider crossing over of sound barriers was not installed. This steel ring is a standard feature for this unit model, but the customer decided that a wider crossing over of sound barriers was not necessary for operational purposes in South Korea. His decision led MOOG to extend the lowering depth to a maximum of up to 24 ft. 7 in.<\/p>\n
MOOG again demonstrates that their under-bridge units are designed and manufactured according to the customers\u2019 wishes and country specific conditions.
