{"id":5906,"date":"2016-12-06T08:57:28","date_gmt":"2016-12-06T07:57:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.moog-online.com\/uncategorized-us\/mbi-200-15-s-to-turkey\/"},"modified":"2020-01-12T15:26:24","modified_gmt":"2020-01-12T14:26:24","slug":"mbi-200-15-s-to-turkey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moog-online.com\/us\/uncategorized-us\/mbi-200-15-s-to-turkey\/","title":{"rendered":"MBI 200-1,5\/S to Turkey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>MBI 200-1,5\/S to Turkey<\/h2>\n<p>MOOG has once again won a bid against its competitors and received an order for an under-bridge unit model MBI 200-1,5\/S for the new Izmit Bay suspension bridge which is part of the new Gebze-Izmir motorway in western Turkey. This bridge is 2.1 miles long and therefore one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. It connects the north and south coast of Izmit Bay.<\/p>\n<p>The platform unit MBI 200-1,5\/S was ordered as a trailer mounted version including a VOLVO tractor and was manufactured by MOOG according to the customer\u2019s requirements.<br \/>\nThe horizontal range under the bridge is up to 65 ft. 7 in. and the platform is 4 ft. 11 in. wide, which are both standard for this unit. The platform can be loaded with up to 6 people plus 704 lbs. of materials\/tools at the same time (max. 1,760 lbs.).<\/p>\n<p>What is special about this under-bridge unit is the additional equipment:<br \/>\nThe machine was also equipped with a telescopic rotation frame which allows a wider over-bridging of sidewalks. Moreover, the lifting frame was increased to enable a wider lowering depth of 39 ft. instead of the standard 28 ft. 6 in. With help of a hydraulic lift a working height of up to 26 ft. 3 in. is possible which enables a more flexible work area on the platform.
