The company Theo-s GmbH, an existing customer of MOOG based in Germany, expanded its MOOG fleet with an MBI 210-2\/S, which was handed over to the customer at the beginning of September 2022 after the training had been completed.<\/p>\n
The MBI 210-2\/S under-bridge unit was ordered as semi-trailer and equipped with a number of additional options according to customer requirements:<\/p>\n
The entire under-bridge structure can be raised approx. 1.8 m using the extended lifting frame. This makes it possible to cross over even higher sound barriers up to 5.3 m. Furthermore, an automatic steering system for 1-man operation was installed and a combined radio remote control with display was supplied. This creates a certain freedom of movement during the erection\/operation processes and provides a better overview, especially in places that are difficult to see.<\/p>\n
The platform is 2 m wide and, with the help of the platform extension supplied, can reach horizontal ranges of up to 23 m under the bridge. Access to the underside of the bridge and into the hollow box girders is achieved by the two included alplifts, each with a standing height of 6 m, and a portable scaffolding with a standing height of 2 m. The alplifts can be moved in either the main platform and telescopic platform during use, which saves time and is very convenient for the operating personnel.<\/p>\n
With this under-bridge inspection unit, the customer can also use a pier inspection basket that was supplied for a machine already in the customer\u2019s fleet. The suitable device for using the basket was installed accordingly by MOOG. Therefore, the pier inspection basket as well as other heavy equipment for bridge inspection work can be lifted from the semitrailer onto the platform with the help of a hydraulic crane.<\/p>\n
