Two identically constructed under-bridge units model MBI 110-1,2\/S were shipped to a new customer in Australia: One in December 2017 and one at the end of a February 2018.<\/p>\n
Per the customer\u2019s request, the platform units were mounted on an air-suspended 3-axle SCANIA chassis in order to handle the road conditions there and to increase the unit\u2019s loading possibilities. In addition, the structure was manufactured in a mirror image compared to the standard structure and mounted to make the operation of the machine more comfortable and clearer for the Australian customer\u2019s left-hand traffic.<\/p>\n
Both machines have a maximum horizontal reach of 11.0 m under the bridge, which can be extended to 13.0 m with the help of the platform extension also provided to the customer.<\/p>\n
Training with the new customer took place at the beginning of December 2017 at MOOG Germany facilities in Deggenhausertal.<\/p>\n
