Company's founder Alfons Moog

Beginning in 1980, starting small, courage and initiative drove him to build a business enterprise, which he pushed into a worldwide business of outstanding reputation. His fascination was to find solutions for under-bridge inspection and specialty-type construction. Countless innovations and patents showed his willingness for creative thinking. His technical know-how, his keen sense of the market’s needs and his ability to motivate his employees led him to become the world’s market leader for under-bridge inspection within 25 years. Alfons Moog had a life that was shaped by drive, inventive talent and single-mindedness.

On August 16, 2006, MOOG’s founder and general manager Alfons Moog died in Grenoble, France in a tragic accident.  His wife Rita Moog and his daughter Christine Moog-Ganzenmüller, will be continuing his life work to build on his dream with the active support of the very experienced MOOG team.
